Learner drivers under 21 years of age are required to complete 120 hours of supervised driving prior to attempting a driving test. Professional driving lessons are highly recommended to be included within this time in order for learner drivers to gain a wide range of driving experience for both VicRoads testing and the necessary skills and experience require for solo driving.

Once a learner driver turns 18, completes the mandatory 120 hours of supervised driving and other prerequisites specified by VicRoads , they will be eligible to book in a Probationary License Test.

LAPP driving school can advise the learner driver’s readiness to take the test as well as performing preparation for and taking the test.

Learning to drive is more than just passing a VicRoads driving test. Throughout the pre-test driving lessons, I will strive to expose new drivers to a high variety of environments, conditions and experiences but any experienced driver will know that passing the VicRoads Probationary License test is simply reaching base camp, the mountain of learning has just commenced.
